GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville girls basketball team led from start to finish in taking a 74-36 win over North Hall Tuesday night.
The Class AAA No. 1-ranked Lady Elephants (6-2) opened the game with a 24-6 first quarter and cruised from there. They have now won five straight.
The Lady Trojans (2-4) have now lost three straight heading into Saturday's opening round of the Lanierland Tournament.
Gainesville was led by Tasha Humphrey's 24 points in just over two quarters of work.
North Hall was paced by Megan Westmoreland with 18 points.
