Lady Knights lose in Sweet South Classic

MADISON - The Johnson girls basketball team, after a 7-0 start, dropped its second straight game Saturday night losing to Powell of Knoxville, Tenn., 52-45 in the Sweet South Classic at Morgan County.

Used to getting balanced scoring, the Lady Knights (7-2) had just one player in double figures - Whitney Randolph with 12 points.

Johnson will play Chattanooga Christian Monday in the consolation round.

The Knights will then begin a stretch of four of the next five games - on the road. They will travel to Jackson County Friday and then begin their Region 7-AAA South schedule Saturday at Gilmer.
