GAINESVILLE - Chestatee High boys basketball coach Russ Triaga will be conducting the first-ever Chestatee Boys Basketball Holiday Camp.
The camp will be held from Dec. 29-31 at the Chestatee gym and cost $55 per participant.
Triaga, who is in his first year at Chestatee after moving over from Oconee County, said they ran the camp last year in Watkinsville and had a big turnout.
"We had about 60 kids show up which we thought was very good considering that was the first time we had done that," he said. "We're hoping this camp will be just as good, if not better."
The camp is open to fourth through eighth graders and is designed to increase a player's ability to play the game.
Students attending the camp will receive a daily instruction on the fundamentals of ball handling, passing, shooting and rebounding. They also will receive instruction in one-on-one defensive skills and will play full-court games as well as compete in skills games.
