GAINESVILLE - The Riverside Military Academy football team clinched its first winning season in more than a decade with a dominating 61-25 win over Eagles Landing Academy Friday night.
The win was also a tune-up for next week's GISA state tournament.
The Eagles (6-4, 1-2 in Region 1, I-AAA) got 150 yards and three TDs from carl Robinson in the first half as they built a 35-7 lead.
Riverside finished third in the region with the win.
Coach Doug Dixon did not know, however, who their first-round opponent would be as of Friday night.
They will play their first playoff game on the road.
