ALABANY - Football fans will get their first look at Albany State's new 10 (m) million-dollar stadium this weekend.
The Albany Municipal Coliseum will be opened to the public as part of the university's centennial homecoming festivities.
Officials had hoped to play the homecoming football game in the coliseum, but construction was not complete.
The first game will not be played at the stadium until next year, officials said.
The completed first phase of the project included a 5500-seat area on the west side of the stadium, a concession area, a scoreboard and stadium lighting.
The second phase will add additional seating on the east side of the stadium and a field house.
