OAKWOOD - The state Board of Human resources held a meeting in Oakwood Wednesday afternoon as it travels the state seeking public input and ideas during the the change in leadership at the agency's leadership.
The transition hearings began in Rome a week ago and will end in Winder December 16.
Officials say they are seeking input from people served by the state Department of Human Resources and are trying to "tap the expertise of advocates statewide."
Jim Martin, the head of the agency, is being replaced by an appointee of Governor Perdue.
The hearing was held at Gainesville College.
