MACON - The dream season for the Riverside Military Academy football team came to a crashing halt Friday night.
The Eagles were outscored 20-0 in the second half in a 34-7 loss to Tattnall Square in the second round of the GISA Class I-AAA playoffs.
Chris Robinson scored midway through the second quarter on a 50-yard run to cut the Tattnall lead to 14-7.
But Riverside, which finishes the season at 7-5, never got any closer.
The loss ends what has been perhaps the most successful season ever for Riverside football. The Eagles won their first-ever playoff game last week beating Southland Academy, 16-6.
Tattnall (11-1) used several big plays to put the game out of reach and took advantage of two Riverside turnovers.
