CUMMING - A 15-year-old Forsyth County boy has been arrested and charged with arson in connection with the fire last week at the Cumming fairgrounds.
Authorities say the arrest was made after an extensive investigation by Cumming Police, Forsyth County arson investigators, and officials with the Cumming Country Fair & Festival.
According to Cumming Police, the youngster is currently being held at the Regional Youth Detention Center in Gainesville.
The fire destroyed an exhibition building housing a 1943 cotton gin and occurred on the first day of the annual Cumming Country Fair & Festival.
Damage has been placed at around one million dollars.
