OAKWOOD - Following a 47-0 loss last week to Gainesville, the Johnson football team took out its frustrations on winless White County Friday night.
The Knights scored 21 points in the first five minutes against the Warriors en route to an easy 55-0 win at Billy Ellis Stadium.
Johnson (6-2, 6-2 in Region 7-AAA) got two touchdowns each from B.J. Jackson, Cardy McKensey and Blake Elbertson.
They blew the game wide open with 27 points in the second quarter to take a 48-0 lead into halftime.
The Johnson defense, which was shredded by Gainesville the week before, allowed White County (0-8, 0-8) just five first half touchdowns in helping to build the big lead.
The win keeps the Knights in third place in the region but with East Hall, who beat Flowery Branch Friday night, just one game back.
The two teams will meet in the season finale for third place.
