JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA - Police in Florida have arrested a lawyer for attempting to carry a gun onto an airplane headed to Atlanta.
Thirty-eight-year-old David Craig Calley of Jacksonville was charged Sunday with attempting to board an aircraft with a concealed dangerous weapon accessible in flight.

Calley offered no explanation to U.S. District Judge Thomas Morris at a hearing yesterday. He could face ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine if found guilty.
Security workers at Jacksonville International Airport discovered the unloaded gun in Calley's carryon luggage.
Officials say he was trying to board an afternoon flight on Delta Air Lines to Atlanta.

Airport police say Calley had a license to carry a firearm, but did not tell airline employees he was carrying the gun as required.
The judge released Calley on his own recognizance so he could take scheduled depositions in Little Rock, Arkansas, this week.
Calley, who said he plans to represent himself, is scheduled for an arraignment in Jacksonville Friday.
He is the second man arrested this month at the Jacksonville airport for carrying a gun.
