Henry County police spokesman Lieutenant Michael Gaddis said McCrary, of Oxford, took over a tour bus Saturday after the driver dropped off Alabama tourists near the Six Flags Over Georgia amusement park near Atlanta.
The boy -- Jordan T. Curtis of Stockbridge -- was injured when the bus crashed into a large sign in a Wal Mart parking lot. He died Sunday.
Henry County Chief Magistrate Judy Hayes ordered McCrary's case be sent to Superior Court.
