Robert William Burford, 19, was arrested as part of a federal investigation that led to scores of arrests nationwide, officials said.
Burford was indicted Sept. 25 and pleaded guilty March 1. As part of his sentence, he will plead guilty to child molestation in Gwinnett County and receive 25 years' probation to follow his federal sentence, U.S. Attorney William S. Duffey said.
According to the indictment and evidence presented at sentencing, Burford befriended a 10-year-old boy in his neighborhood and persuaded him to engage in sexual conduct, which Burford photographed. He then uploaded the images and e-mailed specific groups involved with child pornography.
Burford also sought to trade images of another 10-year-old on the Internet, the indictment said.
