Georgia man sentenced for internet child porn

ATLANTA - A Lawrenceville man was sentenced Wednesday to 12.5 years in prison for interstate transmission of child pornography by computer. <br> <br> Robert William Burford, 19, was arrested as part of a federal investigation that led to scores of arrests nationwide, officials said. <br> <br> Burford was indicted Sept. 25 and pleaded guilty March 1. As part of his sentence, he will plead guilty to child molestation in Gwinnett County and receive 25 years&#39; probation to follow his federal sentence, U.S. Attorney William S. Duffey said. <br> <br> According to the indictment and evidence presented at sentencing, Burford befriended a 10-year-old boy in his neighborhood and persuaded him to engage in sexual conduct, which Burford photographed. He then uploaded the images and e-mailed specific groups involved with child pornography. <br> <br> Burford also sought to trade images of another 10-year-old on the Internet, the indictment said.
