WINDER - The Barrow County Sheriff's Office (BCSO)is trying to figure out what happened to some missing money.
Lt. Murray Kogod said an internal audit revealed some irregularities in the inmate funds account, which is used by prisoners to purchase commissary items.
Kogod said the problem was discovered two or three months ago.
Murphy and McClendon, an auditing firm out of Newnan, has been asked to complete the audit at the request of Barrow County Sheriff Joel Robinson.
