Tropical Sportswear finalizes sale of former Duck Head facility in Winder

TAMPA - Tropical Sportswear Int&#39;l Corporation announced it has completed the previously announced sale to Chico&#39;s FAS, Inc. of the former Duck Head Apparel Company LLC headquarters and distribution center located in Winder, Georgia for a selling price of approximately $7.2 million. <br> <br> After the payment of closing costs, the net proceeds of approximately $6.7 million were used to reduce the Company&#39;s outstanding borrowings under its credit facility.<br> <br> As previously reported, the Company moved all of the former Duck Head operations to the Company&#39;s Tampa facility following its acquisition of Duck Head in August 2001.<br> <br> TSI markets and manufactures branded and private brand men&#39;s, boys&#39; and women&#39;s casual and dress sportswear.<br> <br> Major owned brands include Savane(R), Farah(R), Duck Head(R), Bay to Bay(R), Flyers(TM), Royal Palm(R), The Original Khaki Co.(R) among others.
