Tropical Sportswear finalizes sale of former Duck Head facility in Winder

TAMPA - Tropical Sportswear Int'l Corporation announced it has completed the previously announced sale to Chico's FAS, Inc. of the former Duck Head Apparel Company LLC headquarters and distribution center located in Winder, Georgia for a selling price of approximately $7.2 million. <br>

After the payment of closing costs, the net proceeds of approximately $6.7 million were used to reduce the Company's outstanding borrowings under its credit facility.<br>

As previously reported, the Company moved all of the former Duck Head operations to the Company's Tampa facility following its acquisition of Duck Head in August 2001.<br>

TSI markets and manufactures branded and private brand men's, boys' and women's casual and dress sportswear.<br>
<br>
Major owned brands include Savane(R), Farah(R), Duck Head(R), Bay to Bay(R), Flyers(TM), Royal Palm(R), The Original Khaki Co.(R) among others. Licensed brands include Bill Blass(R), John Henry(R), Van Heusen(R) and Victorinox(R), the makers of the original Swiss Army(TM) Knife. <br>
