Big week of activities planned at GHS

GAINESVILLE - A big week of activities is planned at Gainesville High School leading up to Friday&#39;s state football quarterfinal game.<br> <br> The Red Elephants will play Washington County at City Park at 8:00.<br> <br> To accomodate Red Elephant fans, the GHS-Gilmer County basketball games, at Gilmer, that were scheduled Friday night will be played Thursday night.<br> <br> &#34;Final 8&#34; T-shirts will be sold at the school all day Friday; a pep rally will be held in the old gym at 2:30 and the public is invited; the Elephant Walk will be held at the school at 5:45 Friday as the team boards buses to City Park; and, Gainesville City Councilman Bob Hamrick is encouraging fans to line Green Street to greet the team as the buses roll out of downtown toward City Park.<br> <br> Gainesville reached the AAA quarterfinals by beating Stephens County Friday night 22-9.
