Former GBI director reappointed to parole board

ATLANTA - Governor Barnes announced Monday he will reappoint Milton E. ``Buddy&#39;&#39; Nix to the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles. <br> <br> Barnes first appointed Nix to the board in June to fill the vacancy created when Bobby Whitworth resigned amid a state investigation. Nix has been director of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation since 1993. <br> <br> Nix&#39; new six-year term will begin Dec. 31, 2002, the same day the partial term to which he was first appointed expires. <br> <br> Barnes said Nix has ``done a great job, and I&#39;m proud to reappoint him to a full term.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> Gov.-elect Sonny Perdue consulted on the reappointment of Nix, who he said has brought ``experience, leadership and integrity to this important position.&#39;&#39;
