Brenau hall of fame inductees

GAINESVILLE - Ten former students were recently inducted into the Brenau University Alumni Hall of Fame.

Included are three current or former residents of Gainesville: Kay Wallis Herrin, Helen Dortch Longstreet, and Mary Foote Simmons Paris.

The other inductees were Thelma Mauldin Green of Dahlonega, Dotty Eleazer Alexander of Charlotte, N.C.; Kathryn Andrews Fincher of Duluth, Ga.; Helen P. Hatton of Ontario, Canada; Sarah Lamb of New York City; Irene Robinson Smith of Covington, Ga.; and, AlJean Dorsey Thompson of Macon, Ga.

The Brenau University Alumni Hall of Fame honors those alumni who have "made an outstanding contribution to their country, their state, their community and Brenau University.
