MARIETTA - Police say a 58-year-old Marietta man is hospitalized after being burned in a fight with his girlfriend over beer.
Charles James Edwards remains in the burn unit at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta with second- to third-degree burns. Police say employees at an office complex found him in a parking lot.
Officers arrested Edwards' girlfriend - 38-year-old Pamela Patreasa Morgan. They say Edwards told them the woman poured rubbing alcohol on him and set him on fire.
She is being held at the Cobb County Detention Center on a charge of felony aggravated assault.
A warrant for Morgan's arrest says the two were arguing over beer before Edwards was burned.
Marietta police spokesman Brian Marshall says Edwards was barely able to speak when he was found. The case remains under investigation.
