Shirley Ann Flanagan

Shirley Ann Flanagan, Dawsonville, GA, gained her angel wings and went home to be with Jesus Christ on June 26, 2025, at the age of 77.

Shirley was the greatest mom, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Loving, kind, and full of grace. She had a smile that lit up the room.

She loved each of her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids with unwavering unconditional love. We all have many wonderful memories that give us joy and comfort, knowing she is running without pain, and is in complete and utter peace, with her savior, Jesus Christ. We will miss her so much and cannot wait until we are reunited with her for all eternity.

Shirley was born October 25, 1947 in Dahlonega, GA to the late Ralph and Sally Mae Anderson. She is also preceded in death by her late husband, James Henry Flanagan; brothers, Edward, Roy and Clarence Anderson; sisters, Martha Baughn, Lena Crull and Louise Anderson; her son, Eddie “Bug” Flanagan; and granddaughter, Amanda King Bagwell.

Shirley is survived by a very special dear friend of 42 loving years, Clinton Armstrong; her son, Darrell Flanagan (Kim); her daughters, Renee Bagwell (Scott), Martha Bower Flanagan (Charles), Linda Grizzle (Gene); as well as her sisters, Cathy Garcia, Pam Loggins, Marie Miller, and Dora Mae Posten. She is also fondly remembered by 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, along with many loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM, in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Ricky Woody will officiate the service, and interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
