Violation of Code: [511-6-1.04(4)(u)] Observed unwrapped apples in the breakfast buffet area. Observed bananas stored in a box on the floor in dry storage. COS-Apples were pulled from display area, to be rewashed and wrapped. 511-6-1.04(4)(u) - Food Display (P) (u) Food Display. 1. Except for nuts in the shell and whole, raw fruits and vegetables that are intended for hulling, peeling, or washing by the consumer before consumption, food on display shall be protected from contamination by the use of packaging; counter, service line, or salad bar food guards, display cases, or other effective means. A toilet room used by females shall be provided with a covered receptacle for sanitary napkins. New Violation. 17C Violation of Code: [511-6-1.07(2)(a)] Observed the walls in the kitchen area are unfinished dry wall. Except as specified under subsection (2)(d) of this Rule and except for antislip floor coverings or applications that may be used for safety reasons, floors, floor coverings, walls, wall coverings, and ceilings shall be designed, constructed, and installed so they are smooth and easily cleanable.
