Violation of Code: [511-6-1.03(5)(j)1&2] Observed an unopened can of energy drink being stored in chicken freezer next to grill. Employees may keep drinks in the kitchen but they must be in a single service cup with a lid/straw and stored in a designated area. COS: Employee moved energy drink to an approved location. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. 4-2A Violation of Code: [511-6-1.04(4)(c)1(iv)] Observed broken bag of root beer syrup for soft drinks being stored in uncovered bucket. PIC states bucket was cleaned and sanitized before syrup was stored in bucket. All foods must be stored covered in order to prevent contamination. COS: PIC covered bucket with plastic wrap. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. 6-1A Violation of Code: [511-6-1.04(6)(f)] Observed liquid eggs stored in reach-in cooler in grill area at 52F. Time/temperature controlled for safety foods must be cold-held at 41F or below. COS: PIC voluntarily discarded liquid eggs. Cooler is not to be used to hold TCS foods until it is verified to be able to hold 41F or lower. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. 6-1B Violation of Code: [511-6-1.04(6)(f)] Observed chili being held in a crock at 102F. Observed cooked chicken tenders being held under a heat lamp at 96F. Time/temperature controlled for safety foods must be hot-held at 135F or higher in order to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria. COS: PIC voluntarily discarded chicken tenders. PIC reheated chili to 177F by 11:00AM. PIC stated chili had been prepared at 9:30AM. New Violation. 10D Violation of Code: [511-6-1.04(8)(b)] Observed buttermilk with an expiration date of 7/18/19. Foods labeled keep refrigerated must be used or discarded by their expiration dates. COS: PIC discarded buttermilk. Corrected On-Site. New Violation.
