Lanier Technical College holds High School Equivalency graduation

Lanier Technical College’s Adult Education program held its annual High School Equivalency graduation on Aug.26. 
 
95 graduates walked across the stage on LTC’s Hall County campus to receive their diplomas in-person.  
 
The Adult Education Program is a leading provider of literacy education, high school equivalency courses, English language acquisition/citizenship preparation, and adult education tutoring services within the Technical College System of Georgia. LTC’s program also leads in the State of Georgia in High School Equivalency degrees. 
 
During the graduation ceremony, LTC officials also announced student Josh Bennett of Forsyth County as the 2026 Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education (EAGLE) Student of the Year. Bennett will now compete with other EAGLE students within the Technical College System of Georgia to become the state-wide Dinah Culbreath Wayne EAGLE Student of the Year. 
 
Between June 2024 and August 2025, LTC has seen 402 HSE graduates. 120 graduates were from Hall County, 90 graduates were from Forsyth County and 72 were from Jackson County. The school also saw graduates from Banks, Barrow, Dawson and Lumpkin counties.
