Football: NHall-Bluff headline Week 3 radio coverage

Week 2 of the high school football season kicked off without a fumble, or should we say without a Mother Nature delay of game penalty. 

Yes, it was a storm-free night, which led to several interesting finishes and big-time performances across the area.

This week, although not the greatest schedule, there are some good games on the schedule, and we have three pretty good matchups on our airwaves, streaming live on AccessWDUN.com.  

Forsyth Central at Flowery Branch — Flowery Branch has started the season trending up. Last week, they rolled into Mt. Airy and knocked off Habersham Central. Brett Stuff and Griffin Harper produced big games for the Falcons. On the other side, Forsyth Central has started the season 0-2 and is likely to be 0-3 after Week 3. The game can be heard live on WDUN AM 550 (Click to listen live).

Cherokee Bluff at North Hall —And here we are again ... this is Hall County's newest rivalry, and boy, has it been a good one. North Hall leads the seven-game season with four wins. The trend has been win two, lose two, and Bluff reset it last season with a win. If the trend continues, then the Bears should win at The Brickyard on Friday. Notice that we said the trend... Westlake at Gainesville — Well, Big Red made a statement last week with the blowout win over Moody, Ala. at City Park. The Lions roll into City Park 1-1 but were blown out by 2024 Class 5A runner-up Langston Hughes last week. Gainesville blew the out last year, and the way Big Red is playing right now, it could get ugly.  The game can be heard live on FM 94.5 The Lake (Click to listen live).
