North Georgia takes home numerous medals in Georgia Police and Fire Games

Habersham County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Eugene Kemp and K-9 Roxy won first place in the Explosive Detection K-9 Challenge on Wednesday 

Gainesville Fire Department won gold in the golf four-man. gold in golf two-man, gold in golf singles, gold and silver in men’s mountain biking as well as silver and gold in cornhole.

Gainesville Police Department won bronze in “The Toughest Cop”, bronze in the 3-point-challenge as well as gold and silver in Texas-Hold-’Em.

Carrollton Police Department won bronze in golf two-man.

Flowery Branch Police Department won bronze in “The Toughest Cop” and silver in K9 Narcotics.

Hall County Sheriff’s Office won silver in “The Toughest Cop”, gold and silver in 3-point-challenge, gold and bronze in K9 Narcotics and silver in K9 Explosives.

Hall County Fire Department won silver in women’s mountain biking, as well as silver and bronze in Men’s Mountain Biking.

Habersham County Sheriff’s Office won gold in K9 Explosives.

Dawson County Sheriff’s Office won bronze in K9 Explosives and silver in sniper/long-range rifles.

Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office won gold and bronze in sniper/long-range rifles.

The games will continue for the rest of the week and until June 21.
