The Habersham County Landfill will offer wood chips and mulch to the public for free starting on May 5.
Habersham County said the free chips and mulch can be picked up between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays.
The only pickup location is the Cornelia Landfill located at 4900 Dicks Hill Parkway, Mt. Airy.
Residents must sign a waiver at the scale house if they need help loading.
