The cities of Suwanee and Duluth are renewing rivalries with a friendly, head-to-head competition with the life-changing impact for many in the region.
On May 1, the “Battle of the Cities” Blood Drive, hosted in partnership with the American Red Cross, invites both communities to step up and donate blood in a spirited challenge to see which city can collect the most donations in one day. Residents, city employees, and local supporters are encouraged to represent their city and help save lives simultaneously.
The city with the most participation will earn bragging rights, but the real winners are the patients whose lives will be saved thanks to these generous contributions.
A release from the City of Suwanee adds that all participating donors will receive complimentary city swag and a $20 e-gift card from the American Red Cross as a token of appreciation for their contributions. Appointments are highly encouraged, though walk-ins will be accepted as availability allows. Donors must bring a valid photo ID.
