Baseball: Will upsets continue in Region 6-3A?

By Jeff Hart Sports Reporter

After a day of upsets on Tuesday, the top of the leaderboard in Region 6-3A got a lot more crowded.

Class 3A third-ranked North Hall (17-6, 13-3 Region 6-3A) and No. 4 Pickens (21-4, 13-3 Region 6-3A) are now tied for the lead after the Trojans were knocked off by Dawson County (14-11, 9-7 Region 6-3A). Third-place GAC (14-8, 11-5 Region 6-3A) is still two games back after losing to White County (11-13, 6-10 Region 6-3A) at home.

North Hall and Dawson County switch to Cottrell Field on Thursday while GAC travels to White County. Pickens County heads to Chestatee (6-19, 5-11 Region 6-3A).

Also in Region 6-3A, Lumpkin County (12-11, 6-9 Region 6-3A) plays host to Johnson (2-22, 0-16 Region 6-3A) looking to inch closer to fourth place.

The only other region contest on the slate has Union County (13-10, 9-5 Region 7-2A) heading to Coahulla Creek (6-15, 6-6 Region 7-2A).
