Although several school systems are on spring break this week, the baseball schedule continues with several key region series on tap Tuesday.
Region 6-3A's top-3 teams, North Hall, Pickens and Greater Atlanta Christian are in a race for the region crown.
Meanwhile, Dawson County is clinging to a two-game lead over Lumpkin County for the final playoff spot. The Tigers begin a three-game series with third-ranked North Hall at home on Tuesday. If the Trojans sweep the Tigers, and Lumpkin County sweeps Johnson, it sets up the Lumpkin County-Dawson County season-series finale for the final playoff spot in Region 6-3A.
In Region 8-3A, Cherokee Bluff can clinch the region title with a sweep of West Hall this week. The Bears, who dropped two of three games to Oconee County last week, have little room for error. The Warriors are only one game behind the Bears. Oconee County begins its final region series of the regular season at Monroe Area on Tuesday, a series they should sweep.
