"No bomb located" after threat at Forsyth County Store

By Lawson Smith Anchor/Reporter

A Wal-Mart store in Forsyth County was evacuated after it received an anonymous bomb threat Tuesday night.

Deputies with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office were  dispatched to the store on Atlanta Highway near Alpharetta at 6 p.m. after the store’s pharmacy received a call from an anonymous woman claiming two men were trying to shoot her in the parking lot. The caller then hung up the phone.

A few minutes later, the pharmacy received a second call from the woman, during which she said there was a bomb in the front bathroom of the store. She then hung up again.

After the store was evacuated, four bomb dogs conducted a sweep of the building, but no bomb was found.  A release from FCSO stated that investigators did not find evidence of an active shooter in the parking lot.

The case remains under investigation.
