While just four games are on the schedule for Monday among northeast Georgia area teams, all four involve key region showdowns in the state's highest two classifications.
In Class 6A, fourth-ranked Buford (7-3, 5-1 Region 8-6A) opens a series with Central Gwinnett (4-7, 0-3 Region 8-6A) at home. The Wolves sit in first place while the Black Knights have lost seven straight. In Region 6-6A, sixth-ranked North Forsyth (8-4, 1-2 Region 6-6A) begins a key series with North Atlanta (8-2, 3-0 Region 6-6A) at home looking to get back into the top tier of the early standings.
In Class 5A, Habersham Central (6-6, 0-1 Region 8-5A) will try and split its series with Clarke Central (707, 1-0 Region 8-5A) at home. In Region 7-5A, Gainesville (2-10, 0-3 Region 7-5A) will try and snap a six-game losing streak, traveling to Milton (5-8, 3-3 Region 7-5A) to open a three-game series.
