FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Flowery Branch opened its season with a 4-2 win over Druid Hills at the Hog Mountain Sports Complex on Thursday.
The Falcons (1-0) rallied from an early 1-0 deficit in the first when Antonio De La Torre singled in a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning.
Druid Hills tied the game in the second but Branch added two more runs in the third on a RBI triple from David Ojeda and a RBI double from De La Torre.
Riley Castaneda, London Moshiri and Jacob Moore did the rest on the mound, combining to scatter seven hits while striking out 13 batters.
Ojeda finished 2-for-2 and scored two runs for the Falcons.
