We've made it to the halfway point of the high school football season as Week 6 came to a close Friday night.
East Jackson won a shootout over East Hall, 45-27, while Gainesville ran past Lanier in their region opener at City Park, 50-14.
Commerce lost a heartbreaker to Athens Academy, 29-28, while Union County got a 21-0 win over North Murray.
In Region 6-3A, Lumpkin County got back on the winning track with a win over Chestatee, while North Hall shocked White County, 35-21. GAC and Pickens also ended up in the win column.
