FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Cherokee Bluff jumped to a 4-0 lead in the fourth inning and held on to beat North Gwinnett, 4-3, on Wednesday.
Audrey Graham highlighted the Lady Bears' day with a solo home run in the first inning.
Meanwhile, Olivia Chuck's three-run homer in the fifth made the game interesting, pulling North Gwinnett within one run.
Lillie Diehl earned the win for Cherokee Bluff in the circle, giving up two runs on four hits over 5 1/3 innings. She recorded three strikeouts. Jaycee Archer got the save for the Bears.
Graham went 2-for-3 at the plate with 3 RBIs to lead Cherokee Bluff.
Cherokee Bluff will host West Hall on Thursday.
