Cherokee Bluff rose two spots to No. 3 in the latest Georgia High School Association Class 3A Playoff Rankings released Monday afternoon.
Bluff (4-0, .738 PSR) rallied past Habersham Central in Mt. Airy on Friday to remain undefeated. The Bears are the highest-ranked team in the AccessWDUN coverage area. Harlem (2-0, .785 PSR) jumped Long County to grab the top spot in Class 3A.
Jefferson (3-1, .710 PSR) moved up two spots to No. 4 with its win over Stephens County at Memorial Stadium on Friday. West Hall (3-1, .578) dropped 10 spots to No. 20 despite beating Johnson on Friday. Johnson, however, is the lowest-ranked team in the area. The rankings use opponents' winning percentages as part of the ranking.
In Class A Division 1, Commerce moved 25 spots to No. 21 in the latest rankings. Rabun also moved up from 40th to 18th.
The GHSA will use the playoff rankings to seed the playoffs this season in Class A, Division 1 through Class 3A.
