DANIELSVILLE, Ga. — Commerce got the rushing game going and took advantage of great defense and special teams to take down Madison County Friday night, 28-12.

Jacari Huff got things started for the Tigers with 3:09 to go in the first quarter on an 11-yard sprint that gave Commerce the lead, 7-6. Huff plowed in midway through the second quarter to stretch the lead to 14-6, the score that would stand to halftime.

Jaiden Daniels finally found the endzone in the third quarter, jumping into daylight and running 64 yards for the house call. Leading 21-12 after three quarters, the Tigers blocked a field goal and scored one more touchdown to get to the final score.

Tysean Wiggins led the Tigers in rushing with 115 yards, while Huff finished with 52 yards on 14 carries and three touchdowns.

Commerce will be off next week before opening region play in two weeks at home against Athens Academy.
