It's another week of lowering gas prices for commuters in northeast Georgia, as a slight decline at the pumps is in sight, compared to a week ago.
AAA of Georgia says that statewide, drivers are paying an average price of $3.22 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline. Monday's state average is 1 cent less than a week ago,14 cents less than a month ago, and 41 cents less than this time last year.
Montrae Waiters for AAA is reporting that, “The slight rise in crude oil last week has put a damper on the prior decline in gas prices, muddying the waters of hope for cheaper fuel this week."
Hall County's commuters should be experiencing an average price of just over $3.17 per gallon, with the highest average price for northeast Georgia found in White County at $3.31 per gallon, and the lowest average found in Stephens County at $3.10 per gallon.
Since last Monday, AAA also reports that the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline decreased by 3 cents to $3.41. A link to see average prices for gasoline in Georgia can be found, here.
