By AccessWDUN Staff

Kickoff 2024, Jacobs Media's annual full-color magazine dedicated exclusively to high school football in North Georgia, is now available, the company announced today.

The 2024 edition is 132 pages and includes previews of 26 North Georgia teams, player profiles, photos, the season's top games, schedules and more. The magazine also includes two in-depth feature stories, one on the referee shortage in high school football and the return of the power rankings in Class A D1 through Class 3A.

Kickoff 2024 is available at a number of locations, including the WDUN studios at 1102 Thompson Bridge Road. A full list of locations can be seen here.

The magazine is available for free.

The AccessWDUN sports staff developed, wrote, and edited Kickoff 2024. More than 60 local businesses purchased advertising in the publication, which will be distributed by those advertisers.

The magazine features in-depth previews of 13 teams – Buford, Cherokee Bluff, Chestatee, East Hall, Flowery Branch, Gainesville, Jefferson, Johnson, Lakeview, Lanier Christian, North Hall, Riverside and West Hall. It also features Banks County, Commerce, Dawson County, East Forsyth, East Jackson, Habersham Central, Jackson County, Lumpkin County, North Forsyth, Rabun County, Towns County, Union County and White County.

The Kickoff 2024 magazine is just one part of Jacobs Media’s coverage plans for the upcoming football season. The Kickoff 2024 online preview, which features content different from the magazine, will go live later this month.

The 2024 season is set to kick off on August 16. The Friday Game Night tradition of carrying three games on three radio stations will continue this season. The season starts with Lumpkin County at Cherokee Bluff on WDUN AM 550; Jefferson at Marist on WDUN FM 102.9; and Gainesville at Marietta on The Lake FM 94.5.

The games can also be streamed via the stations’ website or streaming apps.

Caleb Hutchins will host the Friday Game Night Tailgate Show presented by Conditioned Air Systems at 6 p.m. Fridays, and he will return with Walter McCrary for the Hardy Chevrolet Scoreboard Show following the games on Friday night.

And the Friday Game Night page on AccessWDUN will feature game previews, game stories and special features throughout each week of the season.
