Event Name: Beach Bash 2024
Event Date & Time: Friday, July 12, 5 – 9 p.m.
Event Location: Lake Lanier Olympic Park, 3105 Clarks Bridge Rd., Gainesville
Event Details: Enjoy the sunset from Lake Lanier Olympic Park with live music, food trucks, retail vendors and fun for the whole family. Over 100 tons of sand will turn the plaza into a tropical playground! Don’t miss out on the hula-hoop and limbo contests. Entry to the plaza and concert is free and open to the public!
Event Name: River Forks Explorer
Event Date & Time: Saturday, July 13, 11:15 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Event Location: River Forks Park, 3496 Keith Bridge Rd., Gainesville
Event Details: Hosted by Hall County Parks and Leisure, this event is geared towards kids grades K-8. Kids will journey through stations around the park collecting stamps on a card. Kids will enjoy a boating cruise, scavenger hunt, life jacket tutorial, s’mores making, canine interactions and a tent demonstration. Kids will earn a special River Forks Explorer pin at the end. This is a free event open for any kid to join. Organizations that will be involved include the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Hall County Fire Department, Army Corps of Engineers, Elachee Nature Center, DNR, Safe Kids and Chattahoochee River Keepers. Event Name: Sautee Community Block Party
Event Date & Time: Saturday, July 13, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Event Location: Sautee Village, 2454 Highway 17, Sautee Nacoochee
Event Details: Shops, artwork, food, handcrafted good, music and gifts are all part of the program for this fun, free community event. This is in partnership with the Village of Sautee Business Association.
Event Name: Bluey at the Gwinnett Stripers
Event Date & Time: Saturday, July 13, 6:05 p.m.
Event Location: Coolray Field, Lawrenceville
Event Details: Enjoy a fun baseball game as the Gwinnett Stripers take on the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. This Saturday Bluey and Bingo from the popular kids’ show will be on hand for meet and greets and photos.
Event Name: Old Friends Car Show
Event Date & Time: Saturday, July 13, 5-8 p.m.
Event Location: United Community Bank, 351 Jessee Jewell Pkwy, Gainesville
Event Details: This car show happens the 2nd Saturday of every month (through October). There are hot rods, muscle cars, classic cars and trucks. Event Name: Free Orchestra Concert from UNG
Event Date & Time: Saturday, July 13, 7:30 p.m.
Event Location: Gloria Shott Performance Hall, 322 Georgia Cir., Dahlonega
Event Details: The University of North Georgia (UNG) Music Department and Franklin Pond Chamber Music will present a free chamber music concert. The event will feature musicians from the Atlanta Symphony and Atlanta Opera orchestras alongside guest pianist and UNG faculty member Sanghie Lee. They will present Beethoven String Quarter Opus 18 No. 5 and Schumman Piano Quintet. No tickets are required and entry is free. This is open to the community so simply come and enjoy some classical music by talented musicians.

Event Details: This outdoor concert on the lawn will take place rain or shine! Bring your picnic blankets or chairs and be prepared to have fun! Tickets are $30 per person plus a $5 tax fee. This band, Gangstagrass, combines traditional bluegrass with hip hop and more creating a whole, new musical genre. Event Name: I Feel Good: A Tribute to James Brown & Friends

Event Details: The sounds of the 70’s soul includes music from James Brown, Bill Withers, Al Green, Nat King Cole, Barry White and more. After the intermission the music will focus on James Brown’s career, which started in Toccoa, GA. Brown had 17 No. 1hits. Event Name: North Forsyth Flea Market Day
Event Date & Time: Saturday, July 13, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Event Details: There will be over 80+ indoor vendors and 20 more outdoor vendors. Enjoy a bite to eat from one of the food trucks, or dance along with the live DJ. There is free entry and free parking. This is also a charity drive to support Hope for Domestic Violence and Atlanta Against Cancer. Enjoy some shopping and make a difference!
