A Gainesville home was destroyed, but no injuries were reported after a fire Sunday morning.

Hall County Fire Rescue said in a press release that crews responded at about 9 a.m. to the 3000 block of Lake Ranch Drive in Gainesville for reports of a roof fire. The first arriving engine crew found heavy fire coming from the attic of the home.

"Aerial operations were utilized for fire attack on the roof, partially knocking down the flames," the release said. "Crews continued their efforts on the exterior of the structure until the fire was knocked down. HCFR personnel is still on scene ensuring that all remaining hot spots are extinguished."

No one was injured in the blaze. The American Red Cross was notified for three adults and two pets.

The structure was deemed a total loss.

The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshal's Office.
