A pair of big games in Region 7-3A will highlight Thursday's action on the diamond around northeast Georgia.
Dawson County (14-7, 8-5 Region 7-3A) is clinging to a slim lead over Lumpkin County and Wesleyan for second place in the region and will a second crack at No. 2 Pickens (19-3, 12-1 Region 7-3A). Meanwhile, White County (11-11, 3-7 Region 7-3A) will play host to a doubleheader against West Hall (6-15, 2-8 Region 7-3A) on Thursday as the Warriors can climb to within a game of fourth place with a sweep of the Spartans.
Flowery Branch and Jefferson are off from Region 8-5A play this week and will have non-region road games.
