The Town of Braselton will host a Community Clean-Up Event on Saturday, April 20.
The upcoming initiative aims to foster environmental awareness, enhance community engagement, and beautify shared spaces within the community.
Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to participate in the event, which will begin at the Asa Carlton building at 100 Highpoint Park Way between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.. Participants will then disperse to designated areas throughout the town to collect litter, remove debris, and tidy up public spaces.
"This clean-up event is more than just picking up trash; it's about coming together as a community to demonstrate our commitment to preserving and enhancing the environment we all share," Amy Pinnell, Community Development Direct for the Town of Braselton, said in a release. "By taking action together, we can create a cleaner, healthier, and more vibrant community for everyone."
Trash bags, safety vests, and other clean-up materials will be provided.
"We believe in the power of collective action and the positive ripple effects it can have on our community," Christopher Sorrell, Braselton’s Stormwater Manager, said. "Together, we can inspire change, instill a sense of pride in our surroundings, and create a lasting impact for generations to come."
All participants who pre-register before 5 p.m. on April 5 will receive a free t-shirt the morning of the event. Otherwise, shirts will be handed out on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last. To pre-register, click here.
