White Co. accident results in extrication, injury

An accident in White County led to the driver getting extricated and transported for injuries.

White County officials report that on Tuesday at around 12:30 p.m. they responded to the accident in the area of Highway 254 and Ray Palmer Road in Cleveland.

Upon arrival, first responders found a single vehicle on its side. White County Fire Services stabilized the vehicle and began getting the single occupant out.

The person was treated on scene by EMS before being transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.

Highway 254 and Ray Palmer Road were temporarily closed while crews cleared the scene, with the roadway reopening at around 1:15 p.m.

The accident is under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol (GSP).
