A male bicyclist was struck by a pickup truck Thursday night on Ga. 197 south.
The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office said emergency services responded to the scene just after 9:40 p.m. to the area of Lowell’s Tires just outside of Clarkesville. When authorities arrived, they discovered the male cyclist complaining of injuries.
The bicyclist was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville from the scene by ambulance.
The driver of the pickup truck was not hurt in the incident.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the details behind the collision.
