One person dead after two-vehicle crash in Forsyth County

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Monday morning crash that claimed the life of an Alpharetta woman. 

Forsyth County Sheriff’s officials said Joyce Crider, 85 was traveling north on Campground Road in a 2003 Buick Rendezvous. 

According to initial investigations, Crider failed to maintain her lane, overcorrected her vehicle and entered the path of a 2019 Kenworth truck.

The driver of the truck was not able to avoid the crash.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department responded to that scene near 6061 Campground Road at around 11:20 a.m.

Crider was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
