The Flowery Branch Police Department arrested a man on Thursday for possessing a THC oil product during a traffic stop.
Flowery Branch Police officials said John Melton, 29, of Flowery Branch was stopped by officers for an equipment violation. During the stop, officers allegedly discovered a THC oil product in his car.
In a previous incident, officers stopped Melton on Aug 23, 2023 during that stop officers found several items suspected to contain THC oil.
Officials said an arrest was not made during that initial incident and the matter was referred for further investigation.
Melton was charged with possession of a schedule 1 drug, possession of a schedule 1 drug with intent to distribute and brake light violation.
