COMMERCE, Ga. – Despite trailing 14-0 early, the Commerce Tigers came back to take down First Presbyterian 28-14 Friday night.
After FPD scored its second touchdown on the opening play of the second quarter, the Tigers found the endzone as Tysean WIggins carried two Vikings into the endzone from 10 yards out to trim the lead down to 14-6 midway through the second.
Commerce scored again on its first drive of the second half as Jaiden Daniels went 61 yards on the first play of the drive to cut the lead further down to 14-13. After getting the ball back quickly, the Tigers made quick work of taking the lead as Wiggins went 42 yards to the house to take the first lead of the night at 21-14.
Daniels scored the game's final touchdown at the 3:47 mark of the third quarter on a 52-yard touchdown to seal the Tigers' fifth win of the season.
Daniels led the way with 185 yards rushing on 16 touches, while Wiggins added 127 on 17 carries.
The Tigers will continue their homestand next week as they play host to Social Circle in their final non-region game of the regular season.
