Football: Buford, Jefferson, GHS lead the way for area ranked teams in FGN Top 10

Buford, Jefferson, and Gainesville continue to lead the way for ranked teams in our coverage area after Week 2 in the Friday Game Night composite rankings.

The Wolves remained in second in Class 6A, the Dragons are still third in Class 3A, and the Red Elephants continue to sit in fourth in Class 5A. North Hall is eighth and Cherokee Bluff ninth in Class 3A and those two teams will meet at The Brickyard on Friday. Rabun County is fifth in Class A Division 1.

Meanwhile, East Jackson is receiving some attention, garnering some votes in Class 2A after the Eagles held off Commerce last week to improve to 2-0 on the season. Commerce is still receiving votes despite an 0-2 start to the 2025 campaign.
