Drivers are seeing a modest drop in gas prices across the state and locally this week.
Triple-A of Georgia's weekly update shows the average price for unleaded regular gasoline has dropped to $3.39 per gallon in Georgia. That rate is 17 cents below last week's average and 24 cents lower than a month ago.
While this week's rate is about 21 cents higher than at this time last year, Triple-A' s Montrae Waiters says the rise in crude oil prices is tempered by this season's much lower demand, and Governor Brian Kemp's suspension of the gas tax.
Consumers are paying $3.34 per gallon in Hall County, as the national average for gas prices actually rose this week to $3.88 per gallon.
