Football: North Forsyth comeback falls short at West Forsyth

By AccessWDUN Staff

CUMMING, Ga. – A furious North Forsyth rally fell just three points short as the Raiders fell to West Forsyth Friday night, 17-14.

Brady Holbrook got North Forsyth on the board early with a 60-yard touchdown reception just two minutes into the game to take an early 7-0 lead against the in-county rival Wolverines, but West Forsyth answered early in the second quarter with a 20-yard field goal to trim the lead to 7-3.

West Forsuth took their first lead of the game four minutes later on a 2-yard rushing score and stretched that lead to 17-7 with a 33-yard passing touchdown as the first half horn sounded.

North Forsyth broke through again midway through the fourth quarter as the Raiders gained momentum off a Darron Perry 15-yard rushing score, but the Wolverines held on to the lead to take the win.

Perry finished with 17 carries for 86 yards to lead North Forsyth on the ground, while Eli Seany was 8-for-15 for 104 yards and a touchdown.

The Raiders will host Creekview next week.
